There Is Never a Perfect Time

I was having dinner the other night with a couple, when they asked my husband and I, when we were going to have the next baby?

My response, “Well, we have our wedding coming up in the summer (6 months away) so, we’re thinking after the wedding.”

Their response, “Don’t wait for the perfect time, there will never be a perfect time.”

I totally dismissed them, but the next day, I had a delayed reaction to it.

I mean, it totally hit me. I realized that I’ve delayed so much of my life’s desires due to perfection.
I waited forever to meet the perfect man (he never arrived and, I’m not saying I don’t love my husband or that I settled. I’m just saying there is NO perfect man)

I waited forever to have children (’cause it wasn’t the perfect timing)

I waited forever to start my business (’cause I didn’t feel ready, or should I say ‘perfect enough’)

You see, we’ve all waited for the perfect something to do or be anything.

But guess what?

It doesn’t exist.

The perfect man, the perfect career, the perfect relationship, the perfect body, the perfect timing, the perfect whatever you’ve put your life on hold for…

Doesn’t exist.

Life is not about perfection but more about progression. Click To Tweet

We need to constantly move into the direction of our desires.

By the way, I know a woman who waited for her career to be perfect to have babies and now, she missed the boat ’cause she went into early menopause. Super sad but true. This story made me jump into becoming a mother and not wait for the perfect time.

I’m so glad I did.

So, let me ask you…What desire are you putting on hold due to perfection/perfect timing? Please share with me in the comments after the blog.

Thank you for being her with me and always remember to be you, to be real and to be bold.
