How to Stay Committed to your Dream when Doubt Creeps In

Do you know what gets my emotions in a negative tailspin?  It’s worrying about the future.  The price I pay is a loss of focus on my creative work, loss of passion and momentum. It means I’ve now extended the gap from where I am to where I want to be. Not good.

I realized that if I was ever going to make it in this lifetime, meaning create the life I truly desired, I was going to have to commit to not knowing what the end result was going to be. I had to commit to doing the work and enjoying the process without worrying where it was all going.  We all want our hard work to pay off and that’s totally justifiable. But most of the time, when you’re doing your soul’s work, you’re only given a one-step-at-a-time plan. The purpose of that is to keep you present where all creative processes take place: not the future.

With that said, it’s truly hard to keep going when you’re in two different ends of the spectrum. One end is being happy creating and doing what you love, the other end is being fearful and worrying about the future. which causes you to feel energetically drained and depressed. One can’t possible live this way. It’s too painful.
