One of the most annoying questions I get is, “What do you do for a living?”
I mean, yes, we eventually do get to this question in a conversation but it bugs the hell out of me when it’s the first question one asks.
We all have our titles, we’ve all prepared ourselves to tell anyone what it is we do?
But what if you don’t know what you do? I mean, what if you’re a super creative being (by the way, we all are) or one who has so many ideas and expressions desiring to be expressed?
The problem with labeling ourselves, is that we box ourselves in.
We were born unique, creative and super talented. We are never just one thing. So for those of you who are trying to identify with society, trying to identify and label what and who you are or trying to figure out your purpose….
Stop trying to box yourself in. Into one label. You are never just one thing, or just do one thing. Your purpose in life is to DO YOU!
ALL OF YOU
When someone ask me what I do for a living, I don’t tell them, I’m a writer, coach, inspirational speaker, yada, yada, yada.
Hell No. I tell them I’m Mabelicious and I do Mabel.
I have so many creative talents and expressions and, what I do is put them all together into a mixing bowl and create my own amazing, delicious version of ME. I am creating my own path.
This is why we don’t know what we want to do with our lives or who we want to be. We are trying to box ourselves in and, our souls are kicking and screaming “NO”.
Your purpose and who you were meant to be is YOU. You’ve got to bring all of you to the table.
The moment you start to see how you unique and amazing every single piece of you IS and, start to embrace all of it, you move into your purpose.
You can do it all and should do it all. Trust me… all your gifts, talents, passions and desires are all connected.
Again, think outside the box and bring all your desires and expressions into your purpose and you’ll see how amazing your life will be.
You don’t have to choose anymore. You HAVE to do it all and roll them into your own unique expression and deliver it.
Thank you for being here and always remember to be you, to be real and to be bold.
